Vision

The department of botany plays itself to encourage the broadest and liberal manner of advancing science, particularly botany, through student-friendly scholastic methods of education. It is committed to helping each student achieve her academic potential, by creating an environment that promotes frequent interaction between faculty and student, independence of thought, exchange of ideas and high moral standards. It strives to develop innovative instructional techniques in lecture and lab activities. It provides high standard content knowledge, and communication skills, which can demonstrate science, as humans endeavour to understand the natural world in all its manifestations. The faculty see themselves as a resource person for not only the students but for the nation as a whole.

We are dedicated to creating a scientific temperament among young scholars, so that they can easily promote an exchange of scientific ideas, out of the box thinking, psychological alertness devoid of fear and above all high ethical standards. We seek to inspire the students to make out the virtue of hard work, sincerity and empathy bereft of any sense of envy, indignation and greed.
